My name is Alex and I have been recording my life in some way, shape, or form since 1999. Obviously, this blog won’t go back quite that far – don’t worry! Instead, this blog began shortly after the commencement of a new stage of life for me: parenthood.
My beloved husband and I share the privilege of parenting our precious daughter. You won’t see her picture much here on this blog for a few reasons. But she exists and fills our lives with great joy! She is a tremendous gift from the Lord.
I am a stay-at-home mom and one of the parenting duties which I have really grown to love is cloth diapering my baby. I guess cloth diapers have become my new hobby. This blog began primarily so I could connect with other cloth diapering moms during the 7th Annual Flats and Handwashing Challenge. But as I pondered on my hastily-chosen blog name, I also came to realize that this blog is an excellent space for me to record this season of my life. The last decade of my life has been a bit like a see-saw: up and down and up and down and up and down. So many high points and several low points too. However, I feel bored and unchallenged during this season of new mommy-hood. My life seems “flat” even. But even a non-specified challenge is a challenge for my attitude. I hope to accurately record this season of life so I can find joy in this season of life.
So 7th Annual Flats and Handwashing Challenge, I accept this challenge.
Life and maintaining a good attitude despite what comes my way, I accept this challenge.
